Calling All Urban Gardeners!
If you’ve got a green thumb, this might be the time to flaunt it and win prizes for your effort in greening the city. The City of Athens and This is Athens with Organization Earth, launch the city’s greenest competition to make the Greek capital a more sustainable city. Named “Greening the Grey”, the competition invites Athenians to “bring nature to their homes and neighborhoods” by converting balconies, terraces and courtyards into “green corners”. All you need to do is to share photos of your green corners and upload it to the Earth Organization’s website.
How to take part:
Photograph your green corner and upload it on https://www.organizationearth.org/prasinizoume-to-grizo, before May 10 to win prizes and create a more sustainable and beautiful city. The best photos will be selected through an online vote that will run from May 1 to May 25. The winners will be announced during a special ceremony on World Environment Day on June 5.
1st Prize: Gifts worth €800 from Gardena and dinner for 2 at selected fine dining restaurants in Athens from Betsson
2nd Prize: Gifts worth €500 from Gardena and dinner for 2 at selected fine dining restaurants in Athens from Betsson
3rd Prize: Gifts worth €250 from Gardena and dinner for 2 at selected fine dining restaurants in Athens from Betsson.
The next 10 best entries will receive gifts worth €90 (each) from Gardena.
