WHAT: American artist Mary Cox presents an exhibition of works celebrating the hardy beauty of wild-growing plants, particularly those indigenous to Attica. Using photographs as her basis, Cox magnifies the details, skews the perspectives, paints with a vivid colour palette and adds static objects like fences or buildings around the plants to reference social, political and psychological states. Within the same exhibition are small digital prints of collages Cox created from photos of art reproduced in magazines.
