WHAT: It’s difficult to spend more than 5 minutes in Athens without coming across at least a dozen pieces of street art. The now global graffiti movement that has made Athens the “European capital of Street Art” actually has its roots in New York City. A collaboration between the two cities at the Alibi Gallery provides an incredible opportunity for viewing the work of dozens of renowned street artists both local and world famous and a dialogue between the two creative hubs. Discover street arts’ unique ability to reach mass populations and inherent democratic appeal, as well as each artists’ relationship with the city they inhabit and adorn.
